RECIPES

Caramelized Pork Belly Pasta We will be making this transcendent dish this weekend for the first time. I'll be wearing elastic waist pants so I'm ready for seconds and thirds.

Pork Belly with Eggplant: "The Grown Up version of sweet and sour pork. No pineapple needed"

Skate with Tomatoes, Onions and Capers: This recipe calls for Skate wings but the filet will step up beautifully here. This recipe only calls for capers and tomatoes but we think the long red onions have a role to play too. Chiffon their tops on at the end or add the onion itself to the tomatoes and capers with a bit of oil and lemon over some heat before spooning over the fish.

Roasted Eggplant with Crispy Kale and Yogurt: Hello, Bright and Beautiful! Bon Appetit's dish could be a side for a simple fish or chicken recipe or be a delicious meal unto itself with a baguette and a crisp glass of white. Sounds like s great date night; Roasted Eggplant and Chill.

Creamy Kale Pasta: While we admit that the blog name "Pinch of Yum" has its question marks, this simple idea makes for great weeknight eating.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Dont Throw That Away I'll COMPOST IT.

Throwing away food feels terrible. Especially when you love and revere the folks who grew it and understand all the love and muscle that went into bringing it to your table. Composting is a welcome salve to that chagrin. If your city or town doesn't offer free composting, have a  look a some DIY suggestions from the State of Massachusetts.

Or get the amazing people at Bootstrap Compost to come to your door. They come twice a month to our house to take old coffee grinds, potato peels and the banana I found in my purse that looks like its been in there since the 90's. They now take meat and dairy too!
Give your goods a new life and compost them.
